Navigation restarts while in use?

Navigation restarts while in use?
I'm new to the forum and I've learned so much from all of you. Recently I purchased an OBDEleven and I've added many new features on my Premium Plus thanks to this forum.
Question:
Do you notice that the navigation keeps reinitializing while driving? Both the VC and MMI maps disappear and reload, especially while in the middle of using the navigation. Why does this happen? Is it common or should I take it to the dealer?

I have never noticed my maps resetting in either the VC or the MMI.

Over the last 6 months my MMI did restart 4 times on its own, 3 times route guidance was not on, only once it happened after driving around for a while (the other three times the reboot happened at the end of the initial startup phase).
If it happens more frequently then a scan for faults may show the reason why. A future software update may also reduce the number of unexpected reboots while fixing other issues also.

Sounds like it's not common at all, so I'll have to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. I'm just worried that they will notice the coding modifications with active lane assist on so I think I'll turn turn it off via coding before I head to the dealer.

I modified my 2006 VW Passat for many years and the dealer techs never noticed anything. They are busier than you think.

Sorry for pushing this old thread.
I have this issue with my MMI of 2016, too.
My dealer couldn't solve the problem and it's not reproducible.
Normally it's occuring 1-2 times per day.
Replacing the GPS-antenna was only a minor improvement.
Anyone suggestions?
