Default Short Lane Assist Video

This quick example shows how the car will "let go" of automatic steering if you head into a curve.

How often does it happen in curves? Sometimes, all the times? Does this also happen in strait lines if your not touching the steering wheel after a certain period of time?

Unless you are on a highway going highway speeds, it will rarely work around a curve. It's designed to keep you in your lane with you steering, not to drive for you. After about 10 seconds of not touching the steering wheel, it will shut off.

Did you make this video or did you find it? If you made it, would you be willing to make a longer one? Specifically, I'd love to see how good the traffic jam assist works in traffic. Thanks.

Was just looking in the online driving manual and it does say that the system will stop working "if the curve is too narrow".

Lane assist will also turn off below 40mph (maybe 35mph) with Congestion Assist not (yet) active which makes such experiments at that speed likely to fail.
