Trip odometer reset spontaneously?
Hi everyone,
Recently noticed that the trip odometer on the right side of screen has been spontaneously going to 0 without me touching to reset it. Anyone else have issues with it or am i crazy and actually touching it accidentally? I tried to "accidentally" touch it but it was actually hard to reach without purposeful movements..
Thanks guys!

Does the B9 have two trip odometers like most Audis? If so, one is reset manually by the driver and the other will automatically reset after two hours of the car being turned off.

those two are part of the DIS (would need to check if distance driven is part of that in the B9), I think OP is talking about the short term odometer below/near the tachometer that needs to be reset manually

In all of my Audis, the short term trip odo resets automatically after a couple of hours when the car is off. The long term odo keeps going until reset manually.

Can't figure it out..maybe I'll ask the dealer and take it in to have it looked at

Do you have to select on the stalk which odometer you want to view? Perhaps when it's showing zero you are looking at the short term odometer which will reset automatically.

Had this happen to my B9 over the weekend as well. Outside temp also showed 55 F when it was actually 71. Shutting car off and starting up fixed temp issue, but trip reset cannot be undone of course.

Sounds like some bugs in the software, hope they iron out all of it
I've had my 2012 A4 show some weird temps sometimes like 20 degrees off of what it really is. Doesn't happen to often but it does happen.

I noticed my VC resetting my short-term memory settings (trip odo;fuel consumption;etc). Couldn't figure it out until I saw this thread and went to the manual. Shutting the car off for more than 2hrs will reset ST memory. If less than 2hrs, ST memory keeps previous mileage/fuel consumption/etc.
