Default Are we really getting B9's for 2016?

I first of all looked through the 2016 Order Guide, noticing the lack of anything but the 2.0 engines, and no Prestige option. I then checked my local dealer who has received 2016 A4's, and the pictures of the exterior and interior all are B8 cars.

I'm suggesting that there will be a shortened 2016 B8 year and Audi will drop a early B9 update for 2017.

No Manual transmission most likely no new car, The current Audi A4 I have now is a 2015 but an automatic, which I do not like.

According to Consumer Reports and Motor Trend, the B9 will be at USA's dealerships in March of 2016. People are NOT going to purchase the B8.5 at all in my opinion

Some might if they want standard transmission. A dealer near me shows three 2016 A4's on their website and all are stick shifts. For some that may be enough reason to go for a 2016 even though it does not offer the ugly B9 dashboard - who can say?

Price is always an consideration as is the need for a car NOW. Thus people will buy cars now and into the next few months.

B9's due here next March means the first group but for most your looking at 9-10 months. If you want a MT, you want what you want.

I got a b8 Allroad at a great price in January and suspect it might have been almost 18-mos-2 years before one is offered. I don't know the price, equipment but I needed to replace a 5 year old Avant quickly (engine burned up) and audi was fantastic to offer me a replacement car at a massive discount. BTW, LOVE THE ALLROAD and the reality is a newer better one does not diminish what is in my driveway. 7 months of ownership is already in the books. Im driving a new car that is better than the one it replaced!

If you go on the konfigurator, you will see ze Zhermans get the 6-ganger:

A4 Limousine > Audi Deutschland

Audi.de 2016 = Audiusa.com 2017. Almost always 1 year later in US.

2017, the year of the US brave beta tester bunch. By 2019 it will be a nice car, too bad this ICE will be obsolete by then, with the Gigafactory and BEV revolution under way.

I know, but I wouldn't get the manual these days even if I lived in Germany - I was just pointing out the fact that there are 2016 B8's available with a stick. I do believe there are "must have a stick" folks (I used to be ope of them) out there that would opt for a 2016 B8 just to get that feature.

They do, however only for the FWD drivetrain. Quattro doesn't get a manual even in Germany.
