Default What are these 2 round dark glass things?

In the upper console area where you have the reading lights (A), what are these 2 other highlighted things? They are round and made of dark glass.

TIA

I believe they are microphones for Bluetooth and voice recognition.

False. Those are the motion sensors. The microphones are behind the dot patterns.

That's what I thkoight, they have a membrane over them that doesn't feel conducive for microphone sensitivity.

Negative. The two large black circles are the Bluetooth microphones. They are not glass but covered in a black nylon material for noise reduction. The "mesh" parts of the overhead console are where the ultrasonic motion sensors are hidden. There are three sensors, two on the passenger side and one on the driver side.

erWin does show three sensors. If that's the case, our training materials were incorrect.

I popped my lamp off last night to take a peek.

Yes, the anti-theft alarm uses three ultrasonic sensors hidden behind the dot matrix pattern. A friend at AG suggested these are a newer generation of sensor that can "see" through the pattern better, allowing for a more discreet installation compared to previous versions.

The two black circles are indeed the microphones.

I can't remember what I saw that said the opposite, but it was long before the B9 launched here and was probably wrong like most stuff in this market.
