The fact that it's a non-Audi part may be the issue as to why the ignitor is burned out.

FWIW, the ballast/control module is usually a rectangular unit, which wires into the ignitor, which has a socket for the bulb.

If it's an Audi part it would show up in the Audi DB for parts...and it doesn't. https://genuineaudiparts.com/parts/i...&siteid=214407

I will be looking into ordering this replacement hack-job part this weekend after I take apart my assembly on the other side to make sure they both match so I do in fact order the right part. Until then thank you all for your help and I'll either post back when I order the part, or when it arrives. Hopefully I can get some express shipping..Thanks again!
