Default 2005 A4 3.0 Coolant Leak

Hi,
My mechanic said coolant leak coming from seals below engine would cost $1300 w/parts and labor. Mostly labor. Does that sound about right?
Should I go to a radiator shop instead? Any recommendations in NY/NJ/CT area?
Thanks

"Seals below engine" is a very vague description of the issue. Did it list what parts were being replaced?

I'm told is coming from behind the upper maniford intake.

Thanks

Sounds like they are referring to the part below that is leaking.

Its located on the back of the engine so that could be very time consuming to replace, hence the larger labor charge.

That is the coolant supply pipe for the cylinder heads.
