Default Maaco Opinion/Paint Shop

I am looking to repaint my car from the original blue pearl moro to the aquamarine color. I have looked into different places and I have seen a lot
about Maaco. I have heard good and bad about them, but I don't know what to believe! Asking to please share your opinion, or a paint shop (Indiana) please let me know!

I am picking up '97 Jag XK8 today from Maaco. I had it painted the same color (black) single stage. I went to this particular location on the recommendation of a high end body shop.

I had a car painted by a Maaco shop several years ago. It did not turn out very well. Unless your current paint is in bad condition, I would say wait and see if you learn to like the color. If it is original paint, it will likely be more durable than any paint job. You might be better looking for a car in the color that you want, buy it and sell your current car. If you do decide to paint your car spend more on a shop that has a good reputation in your area. You might ask some classic car owners who they recommend.

Hoosier, unless there's something we can't see in your fotos, you'll seriously degrade the value of your present car by having Maaco paint it.

A proper paint job on a clean, modern Audi will run into thousands of dollars. It's not the sort of thing Maaco does. Maaco paints old, $500 GM cars.

Jag turned out great. Its all in the prep & skill of the people doing the work.
