I wouldn't think so since a cab is a cab, but I wouldn't put it past Audi to require an adaptation procedure if that's what your asking.

Are u sure it's control module? Search my posts or go to my website , I fixed many times top malfunctioned issues w/o spending much money

What do the VCDS codes say? You should scan with VCDS to see what's really wrong. What's normal current draw?

The Audi top has some bugs that cause all the problems, mostly from the incline, sensors. I've had all cases: go half way and stuck, doesn't close, doesn't open, trunk doesn't open, doesn't lock... All need reset and 1 sensor was broken (physically due to hitting the frame).
