would audi lie?!
what would be the chances of a main audi dealer lying about a cars condition?
Ive just bought a 2005 a4 cab, which had a slight shake on idle, with only a few days before warranty was up I took it into the nearest audi centre, they have had the car for 2 weeks and first they said that the (diesel) engine had had petrol in it so needed a new fuel pump (not cheap), so I spoke to who I bought it from and they said absolutely no way has it ever had petrol in it... audi said thats good news and that they would look into it deeper... now... they are saying that the car has been stolen in the past, written off and has had major rebuild work on the front and engine... (would it take 2 weeks for this to be noticed?)
The previous owner strongly advises me that the car has never had any work carried out on it...
They have been struggling with the car for 2 weeks, are they just saying that because they dont know what wrong with it??! any ideas?

Would Audi Lie????? They are related closely to the Volkswagen guys who tried to pull off the biggest mileage scandal in automobile history.

Yes, kind of nuts, but yes. I am going through every posting as I am new to this forum and getting up to page 50+ does present a date issue.
I was on another forum for an American car and have noticed that the Audi Forum members leave lots of questions with no response from anyone? Although you are right, responding to an 8 year old question is perhaps worthless.
