'16 3.0T fuel economy
Just curious on how everyone is faring at the pump with the new 2016 3.0Ts? Mine is better then my outgoing 2014 Q5 3.0T by about 20%.

First the Audi MPG estimates on the MiD are almost always off usually by 5-10% as an over estimate. Not sure why, but I find that doing real calculations after every fill up and use fully.com to track my real numbers.

I am more than happy with the 3.0T engine. These are some figures i have saved for reference (highway only).
Highway - mild driving - 66 mph average - 32.1 mpg
Highway - sporty driving - 124* mph average - 14.9 mpg
*Disclaimer - please do not exceed speed limitations on your road!
I was driving 124 mph average in Germany on sections of the road with no speed limit!
These figures are with the current setup (significantly much more hp/ torque than stock).

On my 16' A6 3.0T with the S-line sports pack, prestige and 20" wheels plus drivers assistance ... Ive averaged 33.4 mpg on the roughly 1 hour 45 minute runs to Phoenix from Sedona with an average of 68mph .. mostly Im really running around 85 mph, but the few slow parts and the few stops and starts really cut into the average speed shown via the onboard DIS computer.
Knocking around town in stop and start traffic Im averaging mostly around 17.2mpg over a 4 hour span ( at least that is what Ive gotten when marking down several 4 hour around town periods) while not at all trying to be as conservative as possible.
However, the economy can vary a good deal depending on number of intermittent stops and with any jackrabbit off the line starts thrown in when the coast is clear and the mood hits to hear the supercharger sing a bit can drop the milage quickly ...
This car is so much fun to drive, smooth and powerful and handles so well, would swear it's at least one class smaller.

Could not agree more with the last sentence above. Coming out of a smaller car I really enjoy that the A6 tends to shrink around you (in a good way). I've just begun to explore the acceleration and handling potential of this car -- really like it a lot! As for the gas mileage I've been going off the onboard computer and it is impressive. Even if I were to subtract 10% from the computer generated number the gas mileage is as good as my old /06 Acura TL that weighed 500 pounds less than the A6, was not AWD, had much less power and was nowhere near as comfortable. Next tank I'll calculate the old fashioned way. At sane speeds other than in hilly conditions on highway my guess is that this car will be in the high 20s and perhaps touch 30 mpg if speed is kept to approx 70 mph. We'll see.
