19's or 20's
Hey guys, I wanted to see if I could get a little feedback on deciding the better choice of wheels for my car. I've read dozens of threads and whatnot on going from 19 to 20' reduces the ride quality and whatnot, but im thinking to myself, if A6s can come with factory 20's, the quality must not be that bad eh? I've got a 2012 A6 3.0T Ibis white with 19'' sport package and I had been looking into getting the Avant Garde M510's Matte Black. I'm having my roof wrapped glossy black on Friday, and if order the wheels before Tuesday, I should get them before Friday, so I can be semi complete of my list of mods it like to equip, but its the 19 or 20 that's itching at me :/ After these, ill order some lowering springs, but id like to see how the car looks with new wheels with the sport suspension anyways, lala sorry for rambling

When I was looking at an A6 I tested the 19" and 20" wheels and thought the 20" made for too rough of a ride. I'm hoping the air suspension in the S6 smooths it out since my order has the 20"...

ah ok, thanks for the replies. I'm just trying to picture the M510s on my car being 19', I've seen photos of the 20's on A6s before and 19's on the A4s and whatnot, cant seem to find 19s on an A6 though. In any event, I'll decide by tomorrow and will post photos when installed :0)

My opinion of the 20's with sport suspension and Pirelli P Zeros is that it turns a "luxury" car into something slightly less comfortable than an empty one ton pick-up truck. I am hoping that new tires helps but I might go to 18's to get this thing tolerable. I like the looks of the 20's but I didn't buy it to look at. The handling of 20's is also impressive but if I spend my commute utilizing the available .9xg's then I will be buying tires every month.
The number of times that I require the attributes of my set up is about 5% and the other90% I have to suffer. I plan on reversing that ratio.

I think you made the wisest choice.
My last three Audi cars have had different size and brands of tires.
2012 A4 Michelin 18"
2013 A6 Perilli 20"
2014 A5 Goodyear 19"
The 20''s looked the best.
The 19's look great and are the most comfortable riding of the group.
