2.0T & 3.0T Differences

Looking at the charts, I don't see where at any RPM and HP point where the 2.0 has more torque than the 3.0.
I've seen these charts mapped for the older 3.2 non-supercharged engine vs the 2.0 where there were points where the 2.0 had more torque.

it is for 2013
Summary: Audi: would have harsh 1-2 upshifts when accelerating or harsh downshifts when braking, to address both concerns, new software calibration for transmission is available. Models 2013 a4, a5, a5 cabriolet, allroad, q5, a6/a7, a8, a8l.

I wish manufacturers would get that some people want all the bells and whistles, but still want and economical ride. I would opt for the 2.0 if I could get the Prestige and Ann the options, sure the 3.0 is a blast to drive, but for 14900 miles out of the 15000 miles I drive a year the 2.0 would be fine.

Your comment reminds me of something I learned a long while ago. Many years ago when I bought my first house my father in law took me to the basement to explain the hot air heat/AC system. He pointed to two ducts attached to the furnace unit at opposite sides and said: “See these? One sucks, the other one blows.” I have learned over the years that this little bit of wisdom applies to many of life’s situations and things, human and otherwise. My two cents. lol

It applies to the ventilation seats. European sucks and blows, American just blows. LOL.

Had a 2.0 loaner for a few days...decent car for everyday driving but 3.0's acceleration especially at highway speeds is noticeably better.
For driving enthusiast the 3.0 would be a better fit.

FWIW – the AoA configurator for the 2016 A6 shows the 2.0 with 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds with the newly stronger 2.0 four. This is quicker than the 6.7 seconds shown for previous versions. For the 2016 3.0 supercharged TFSI car the 0-60 time is shown as 5.1 seconds. The gap between 3.0 and 2.0 has narrowed.
