Default Sprint buying T-Mobile

Just read an article that said the Sprint deal to buy T-Mob has been agreed to. Wonder how much Sprint will screw up everything.

Assuming Feds led them I hope they can pull this off, I am so tired of Verizon and ATT. I like what Tmobile has been doing if they could just get their coverage map improved.

I don't think this will be good for consumers, the consolidations taking place will reduce competition and drive costs up. Cellular is already absurdly expensive, not seeing how this is going to help. Also, customer service quality typically seems inversely proportional to company size.

Seems strange - Sprint runs a CDMA network, T-Mobile a GSM network

Diversification?

My concern, other than as noted, bigger is not necessarily better, Sprint has always ranked at the bottom of the heap for customer service and quality. I can't see how they will make T-Mob "better".

This is why it won't affect the GSM based Audi system. The "merger" will be more for the LTE which will integrate well. I suspect 3G of both networks will continue for many years to come.
