Default 2012 A6 Prestige Price Check & Questions

Been lurking for a while and decided to get a new to me 2012 A6.

Here is the car I am going to fly out and pick up on Saturday.

2012 A6 Prestige CPO
16K Miles
Innovation Package
20" Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
I am getting it for 41k(including dealer fees) + tax.
Quartz Gray w/ black interior.

From what I have been seen on the Internet with the options it seems like a good deal.

Since I have only seen pictures from the dealer is there anything specific I should look for when I get there outside of the normal items?

Is there anything I should ask the dealership to due to the car before I fly in?

Thanks in advanced.

Here's a few things to do (at no additional charge):

- Ensure all TSBs pertaining to the VIN have been performed (incl the rail line recall if required)
- Have them update the MMI to at least 0715-2
- Insist they do a complete CPO prep; not every dealer goes through the list as carefully as they should
- Negotiate for new tires if the tread depth is less than 7/32" (prob has the orig tires)
- Be sure they disclose any body damage or major repairs before you fly out (wouldn't hurt to run a CarFax even though it isn't infallible)
- Check Moroni label if avail to ensure all advertised optons are present
- Be sure AMI cable is included
- Check all three manuals are included
- Check tire pressures to match manual before leaving
- Make sure they provide a full tank of gas
- Inspect the car very carefully before signing anything; obviously drive the car as well. Leave extra time for repairs if deficiencies are discovered. Once you sign and leave, you own responsibility for any non warranty covered issues.
- Be sure you and they they provide your insurance company with info as needed before you depart the dealer
- Pass on any offers to sell you add ons or extra services

Considering the low mileage, trim and options, this seems like a decent deal. I'm guessing you already ran the numbers on cars.com, KBB, Edmunds and others for a sanity price check (keep in mind a CPO adds about $2K to the cost).

Good luck!

Nice color BTW.

Seems like a good deal to me. CPO doesn't mean it hasn't had any paint work or minor accidents. I recommend asking the Audi dealer to run the VIN and look for any issues. If it was bought at auction they will have such a record.

To add to snagit's excellent points, I would have a flashlight and ask to have the car put up on a lift the check the underside for damage, leaks and paint overspray.

Take some pictures before you drive off. The car may never look as good as when you pick it up.

decent deal, but you could get one for in the 36-39 range with more miles. IMO if its CPO then 15K miles vs 50K miles is not that big of deal assuming the 50K car is in good condition and has service records

I got my CPO 2012 Prestige, sport package, LED's, black headliner, with 30K miles about 15 months ago for $43K

I would recommend to find one with full LED headlights, they are awesome and well worth it.
