I don't know how you guys are getting 41mpg. You must set the cruise on 60mph and draft a tractor trailer, downhill. I have a lengthy trip on the highway coming up, so I'll try to be nice and see what happens.

All things considered. I am very happy with the car and my mpg given my driving style.
My last car averaged 13mpg on premium gas, so I can't complain about this one.

Oh yes, one more thing. It is cold here 5 months out of the year, and I have 20" sport package for the summer.

In the last 12000 km, I've averaged 6.6 L/100 km (36 mpg us). This is hand calculated. I didn't track mileage for the first 5k km, but the DIS shows an overall average of 6.4 L/100km since new. I've owned the car since April, so I expect winter will pull the average down. The lowest tank was 8.4 L/100 but my wife drove it that 2 weeks. She's a digital driver; Either full throttle or full brake.

2014 TDI, 5000 mile trip, 70% freeway, 30% secondary 41.2 mpg calculated by gallons vs miles, my DIC is off by about 4%, I had tires at 44 psi front 42 rear 18inch rims, tire pressure makes quite a difference, overall for 13,820 miles we are at 38.9 mpg actual gallons vs miles, the DCI has us at over 40, we tend to be a bit light on the throttle with all that torque
