Default 2014 a6 windsheild replacement

Hi,

I have a crack on my windshield. It needs to be replaced. I see 3 prices for same part number 4G0845099GNVB. based on heads up display and driver assistance package. Are they actually different glass or just marketing since it has same part number?

Thanks for help

Where are you seeing the three different prices? From the same supplier?

Those are three different windshields. If you read your own link you will see that one windshield is compatible with heads up display and driver assist package. Another windshield is compatible with neither option package. The other is not compatible with heads up display, but is compatible with the driver assist package.

As long as you're sure that the model number for your application is correct and the seller guarantees the windshield is genuine Audi brand glass (and not an "OEM" replacement), it's simply a matter of who has the best price all in with shipping. To be safe, have the seller or the dealer look up your VIN to ensure the correct model number. Also be sure it comes with the gel pack which will need to be replaced upon installation.

Read closely the part numbers are all different. Check the fourth last digit they are F, G and H for different variants.

The HUD windshield has an uneven thickness around the HUD area to avoid ghost image when the HUD image is projected on the screen.

I am surprised the HUD variant is cheapest as I read somewhere the manufacturing process is the most complex. Maybe demand is relatively low compared to the plain vanilla version.
