2015 A6 Front Grille Filler with Chrome Strips (Picture Please)
Can someone that lives in a state that doesn't require a front license plate and has a 2015 A6 with the front grille with chrome strips please post a good picture of this grill? My dealer says they don't exist. I live in Missouri, a state that requires a bracket. I was willing to pay extra for the bracket. I ordered a 2015 A6 with code 6W9 for the chrome strips and only got a solid black grille without a lincense bracket. I have looked on the web and pictures aren't that great except for some European pics. Thanks!

You very well may be correct. But on page 31 of the MY15 Order Guide it states its an option. Plus the 2015 A6 Brochure has a picture of one on the front cover, but NO where else! I was told these were a mistake. I have filed a complaint to AOA Audi Care and they a looking into it as well. I still love my new A6, but do like the chrome strips.

Stupid question -- but you don't have the black optic package, do you? It's order code is PPS. I live in CA, so we need the license plate bracket. I do have the chrome strip.

I had the same dilemma on my 2014 A6.
After researching this, the only solution I found was to purchase and replace the existing grill because the C7 A6 doesn't have a filler panel setup. The front bracket on our cars is screwed into the grill.
I purchased a new grill for around $330 and replaced it myself. Replacement was fairly involved and takes some patience.

No I do not have the Black Optic Package. My salesman, very young, said the chrome strip was the chrome around the front grill. I quickly told him ALL A6s come with that chrome UNLESS you have the Balck Optic Package.

Aupdate on 2015 A6
I spoke with an Audi of America Care Specialist yesterday. I was told the MY2015 Order Guide was incorrect in offering the chrome strips as an option. It's either solid black with or without a license plate bracket. They are in the process of correcting the guide. I was wanting my new A6 to look like the ones above. I know there are some after market stick on strips but that is not what I wanted. I will just enjoy my new Audi like it is.
