2016 A6 3.0T Actual MPG

Thanks guys...sounds like something is quite wrong with my ~16 MPG.
Not sure if it's the after market wheels/tires, PSI, or what...but I will continue to keep measuring my actual MPG and see if the numbers improve...I should also be going in for the 5k miles service in a week or two.

Overall, in four years of actual consumption tracking, I'm at 22.2 mpg with 40% highway, 60% suburban and almost no city/stop & go traffic. My lowest for a single tankful in the first 5K miles was 18.5 mpg. If on the highway for a long stretch, I have calculated almost 27 mpg.

I have a 3.0T 2016 loaner right now while they fix my TDI headlight error. My commute in the AM is flat highway only, basically. I clocked in with 29.8MPG on the computer this morning. My TDI would be pushing 41MPG for the same trip/speeds.
My trip is basically cruise control set at 75 mph.

I consistently tank measure with every fill-up and get 37-39 MPG's on mine. 100miles/day all highway averaging 70-77 MPH. On board computer is always 10% more optimistic than actual.

Actual mileage 30T
My 2014 A6 with 32,xxx on the clock regularly gets 23 around town (mostly rural), or about 20 suburban and 27 to 29 on trips at outrageous average speeds.
Trick: avoid heavy throttle at take off and cruise around 80 to 85!

Looks like everyone is getting decent MPGs with their A6.
My daily 20 minute commute has probably around 15-20 stops (lights, stop signs, etc.)
I will be doing a 4 hours road trip to NH this weekend. I will take measurement after a long drive on the highway.

Just completed a 300 miles road trip, of which about 30-40 miles are city driving with the rest being highway.
I calculated 27.22 MPG for the trip. Not exactly 30 MPG, but seems to be right in the ball park with some mix of city and mostly highway driving.

I have been keeping actual readings of my MPG over the last 1-2 months, and the numbers (from the most recent first).
16.04
16.93
15.91
15.86
These are actual miles driven/gal gas filled from mostly city/urban driving.
It consistently averaged right around that 16 MPG mark. This is roughly 20% under the rated 20 MPG city.
I don't really mind about the low MPG, since gas prices had been decent these days. But again, this is quite a bit off from the rated numbers.

Try running 38 pounds in the front tires and 36 pounds in the rear tires if your pressures are below that. Tire pressures change one pound for every 10 *F. You might need some winter air...

That's exactly the PSI I am running on my 19" tires.
38 front and 36 rear. Sometimes 37 all around.

I'm a TDI owner and here are my stats (see picture)
To be hinest I pay zero attention to how I drive. I live the tq and use it to its fullest everyday. My best was 36US MPG or 6.4L/100km on a 600km trip to the states "moving fast".
I am at the lower end of the spectrum for expectations from the TDI, but this is life, who cares, I love my car and I cannot find anything comparable on the market right now that combines so much power, fuel economy, sportiness, comfort and refinement in one package. I mean, nothing is out there right now. My lease is coming to its end and I tried finding something to replace it with and I can't.
Cheers
