2016 A6 drivers, are you seeing these mpgs?

ED is European Delivery.
I've gotten a calculated 29-30 a few times in almost all highway driving averaging 70-75 mpg. That is on my 2016 A7. My 2015 got 2 mpg less on the highway based on the trip computer on both cars, but as I said I never checked the accuracy of the 2015.

Thanks Jim, that is the kind of information I was looking for. Someone who has a 2016, and also has had a 2012-2015 model. Going by just you trip computer it looks like the 2016 is getting better mileage - within the accuracy of the trip computer. One data point anyway. Thanks for the info.

Fithian posted: "On any sort of extended trip of more than 10 minutes, on a limited access highway, the mileage seems to be between 35 and 40 mpg." To me this suggests he/she may be referring to the digital readout of current mgs. To my way of thinking the only meaningful measure of mpg is to calculate it over at a minimum few hundred and better thousands of miles.
My measurements were the average at the end of a 45 mile trip at the posted speeds + 7. Posted is 65 mph.
Overall mpg is 25 mpg. Going on an 11 hour trip in a few weeks and will report. Very similar engine to my S5, but much better mileage,

Going by memory here, the clutch on the 3.0T supercharger is not new (could be that it being electric is).
The clutch engages at ~2200 RPM. In fact if you pay attention the ECU/TCU try really hard on Comfort and Efficiency modes to keep the RPM below that (all the shift points are just below that RPM); When you put the car in Dynamic the reverse happens, the ECU/TCU stay just above that 2200 rpm mark.
This is documented in one of the self study guides. I thought it was pretty cool.

Fithian-
When you say “My measurements were the average at the end of a 45 mile trip at the posted speeds + 7. Posted is 65 mph” how was the mpg measured? Did you fill the tank then drive 45 miles and refill the tank to the same level or did you use the information from one of the various digital displays? I personally do not trust anything other than a “fill, drive, refill to same level then calculate” method for determining mpg’s. I suspect the car’s calculation is more of an estimation based on some surrogate for fuel burn or flow, not actual fuel use over an already driven distance.

I haven't driven my car Ina highway going 50-55 mph for extended period of time (several hours of 200-300 miles). I wonder what my mpg would be if I did.
Here is my long term average from my car:
2016 MY 3.0T engine 20" wheels and sports package. At 4100 miles I had the tires changed from stock P-Zeros to Conti DWS06. I noticed a drop in .5 mpg going 65-70 mph.
Highways: I'm getting ~32.5 mpg at 65-70 mph.
City: ~20 mpg depending on
Around my home area: ~18 mpg (lots of hills)
The above are estimates based on what I have noticed on short term trips...
