Hi guys,
First time I take my A6 to service and the dealer is estimating $245 for a 25k service. I'm not sure what all is done at 25k but if I had to guess probably oil change and a filter? sounded a little high for a car with this mileage. Any thoughts?

2.0? 3.0? TDI?

I think a cabin filter is replaced at that range. Plus a fuel filter for the TDI.

That actually sounds low to me. The first dealer I went to told me $540 for the 15k, so I'd guess the 25k would be at least that.

That dealer was a bunch of scamming pieces of crap though, so that may not even be the right price. Most likely its half that.

when I was in for my 15K service, my rep. told me that I can skip 25K service since that is only the oil change and some minor things.
so $245 is pretty high..

An Audi dealer service advisor told you you should skip a scheduled maintenance? He better hope his service manager wasn't listening.

Wait...the dealer told you that you could go 20K miles between an oil change?!

I have checked with the dealers before I bought my A6 and the 15k, 25k, and 45k are all between $200-$250 depending on dealer and their hourly rate.
The $35k service is in the $700 range.

I hope he suggested you still do those things, just maybe you do them yourself ?

Hope you don't think it is ever a good idea to skip an oil change.
