35,000 mile inspection
I am about to schedule my 35,000 mile check for a 2013 A6. Has anyone done one yet and is it worth the time. I called and they told me 3 hours and when I inquired they said spark plugs , cabin filter ,oil change etc. I have them change my oil every 5,000 miles anyway and I replaced the cabin filter in the late fall.
I do not think the plugs are even changed on my model at this mileage. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It would be helpful to know what engine you have - if a 2.0T, spark plugs are replaced at 35K miles, if a 3.0T, they are not. Check your Warranty & Maintenance booklet for what is specifically performed under the 35K mile scheduled service or see this:

As I'm sure you're aware, to keep your warranty in force, you must maintain the the car at least per the recommended schedule, even if you do it yourself or have it done by an indy shop. BTW, changing oil every 5K vs. every 10K miles, while it can't hurt, is arguably not necessary with Audi's modern engines unless you drive it harder than average.

They did the 35k mile service on mine last year due to time, it is a 2012 so the last 3 years they have done 15k,25k and 35k even though the car has been driven only 2.5k per year

I just don't understand the point of doing 15k,25k and even 35k when the car is driven so little. Money, money, and money I guess.

Maybe with low miles driven in a year some of the things they do aren't necessary but the oil should be changed at least once every 12 months, regardless of distance traveled.
