I was at the dealer today and they offered me a 2016 NEW (50 miles) car for approximately $12k off MSRP. Its a $62k MSRP car for $50k. I have looked at a bunch of CPO cars in the $46-48k range (10-12k miles) and I am thinking a new car at $50k is a pretty good deal. Agreed that the CPO car may have a year or 18 month more warranty but a new car has low miles.

Any help deciding would be very much welcomed. East coast locations and love the color and options of NEW car.

I was in your exact shoes about 8 months ago. I was looking at CPO 2016/2015 cars with less than 15k miles and they were all in the $$44k-48k range. I decided to go with the NEW 2016 for about $6k off the MSRP of $60k.

I drove home a brand new car with 2 miles on it and fresh German smell. Also knowing that you're the first owner, you can baby the car as much as you like and it will last you for a long time.

The discount you're getting is pretty amazing, I would stop thinking and go drive that car home.

The savings on CPO cars are not that great, unless it's 3-4 yrs old and have 30-40k miles on it, or a very expensive MSRP car like the S8, S6, S7, etc.

Good luck, and post some pics once you drive that NEW car home

The dealership is full of it. The sales guys said that that the written offer he provided to me on Saturday was incorrect and the price is actually $3800 more. After I told him I was very disappointed and am not really interested in buying a car from them, he said maybe there was another $1000 he could reduce price buy.

So the gap between a used 2016 A6 3.0T Premium Plus CPO car with 8k miles and the new one will be approx. $6-7k. I am leaning towards the CPO car.

Sounds pretty shady to me. I would tell them to honor the written offer or your taking your business elsewhere. There are always other car and other dealerships!

Make sense, but that's not what happens. When Auto Off kills the engine on my 2016 it also kills the power steering. A tug on the steering wheel restarts the engine and the power steering works again. It only takes a second or so - just enough to get you in trouble or cause intestinal trouble.
