No need to be scared - just be sensible.
Don't change stuff you don't know what it does.
KNOW what you changed!
It would appear that the OP got himself in trouble by being careless - same as if one were careless while driving...
(...and he did it in the MMI engineering menu which is only related to VCDS by virtue of needing to be enabled by it!)

and no need to be scared of VAGcom i was indeed careless in this case. just make sure u doc all your changes...usually i am good with that on the VAGcom....just the first time messung with the green menu stuff.
