I have a 2014 with the sun shades and I say it's worth the $500. But I'm also the guy who ordered rear side airbags.

The rear door panels are different. They have a notch to accommodate the handle and hook for the sun shade. The side shades are a little tricky to lock in place, but they do not rattle.

The rear shade is a little slow to rise but it fits the entire width of the window. What annoys me most about rear sun shades is the lack of full coverage. The Audi is a perfect fit. I don't have B&O and I also don't have rattles.

I almost got the side airbags until I was informed they aren't recommended if you will have kids in the rear seats. I agree that the rear sunshade is well done. It fully blocks out the rear window. You can even set it to automatically go up, I have that turned off.

It's to put it up when you begin driving.

I feel its a worthwhile option. I use it while driving almost all the the time as it helps cut down on glare from the headlights of SUV's and pickups that are behind me. My windows are tinted as well but its not dark enough to help with that.
