I agree with the OP that its the most ridiculous thing that Audi has not bother to include the forward and back button the steering wheel. I hate to scroll through songs using the roller and having to keep my right hand on that forward and rewind button on the main MMI control in the center console. So stupid.

Actually, I can think of greater ridiculous things that Audi has done. However, none of them would force me to consider another car. No car can be perfect so I focus on the important things that Audi has done well with my A6. A missing button on the steering wheel ain't one of them.

For what it's worth, I use the ff and rw buttons below the power/volume **** next to the shifter.

Can't you just use the scrolly-rolly button on the left side of the wheel to swiftly cascade through tracks down or up? I wouldn't want to reach over to the on-off and <- -> while driving I'll admit but it can all happen from the wheel.

I’ve been struggling trying to find out how which is why I was on this thread and I couldn’t find anything, but I just realised as I was playing around with some buttons, all you have to do is push your volume dial/button left or right

It is pretty sad that my 2012 VW Golf TDI had better steering wheel controls/layout.

I really miss the next track button.
