In Europe Audi have released a new "yellow" cable to replace the "green" one. I know of at least one person on a UK forum who cannot seem to get video with the new cable, but that may be user error!

It would also be very helpful to us to know if the new AMI Lightning cable contains a D/A Converter, or does the D/A Converter inside the iDevice still remain operational?

Since the Lightning port outputs only in digital, the cable has a DAC so that the MMI can process the media. The bulky DAC on the Lightning connector end presents an issue for most iPhone cases.

Well I tried a White AMI to Lightning cable with an iPhone 6 today in my A8.
No luck, no album art and no ability to control music from the car.
Has anyone used this 4F0051510AL (or any) cable with an iPhone 6?

Do you guarantee that this cable will work with the iPhone 5 as effectively as the existing cable worked with an iPhone 4? (ie: pass the same information to the car)

I have the cable and the iPhone 6 and sound is fine. I believe the art work is there as well. Cannot play video though.
