Default Attention 2012 A6 owners: Fuel leak Safety Recall

Apparently, this only affects the MY2012 A6 (and other models/years). Presumably the 2013-2015 A6 model years are unaffected due to a design change. The notice doesn't state if both 2912 A6 engines are affected. (Update: other documents mention the 3.0T)

The notice linked to doesn't mention A6s? (unless I've missed it!)

You can search for the recall number: 15V019000

on the NHTSA website: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues

There are 4 Associated Documents, which I have attached.

They say it is only for the 3.0L TFSI engine.

Thanks, that NHTSA link does mention the A6.

No recall (yet) in the UK. Of course, that doesn't mean Audi won't do the same fix when they next see the cars, without an official recall.

Actually you did. The 2012 A6 is listed in the summary.

Interesting that they mention the thermostat and crankcase pressure valve in the notice as totally unrelated, but may be updated at same time.
I had both of those parts already updated on my car proactively as a preventative measure once i learned that they could fail.

I used the website and looks my car is okay. Seems strange.

BTW - I've had to replace my thermostat

Did you pay to have this done, or was this somehow covered under warranty? I'm getting close to the end of my warranty and the thermostat is one of my worry beads about this car long-term...
