New MMI for A/S6?
I thought I read somewhere that the new MMI found in the A3 won't make it's way to the A/S6 until the C8 is released (snagit's guess being summer 2016 for 2017 model).
Can anyone confirm this? I can't find where I thought I read it. ACNA magazine maybe?

There are really two new MMI systems and I've seen some posts around AW confusing the two.
The first is the Nav Plus update in the new 2015 A3/S3 that uses AT&T 4G and includes additional Audi Connect features as well as the faster speed. These are detailed on Audi's website. There have been no announcements from Audi as of yet on other models or when but one could surmise that the AT&T 4G hardware might be included on more models for MY2016 (it appears that the 2015 C7s will still have the current T-Mobile based 3G MMI).
The other new MMI system as announced by Audi at the CES in Jan, will be Google's Android-based "Open Automotive Alliance" (great marketing name for a new in car system ) which will be a completely different operating system based on advanced integration with a compatible Android smartphone. While Audi announced this partnership, they provided no insight as to when or which models could incorporate this system. As another guess, I'd say we won't see this in an Audi until MY2017 but until they release more info, it's all speculation right now.
