Audi Newbie Considering 2013 A6 3.0T
I am a long time owner of BMW and Mercedes, but am now considering purchasing a pre-owned 2013 Audi A6 3.0T. Given the car's great looks inside and out, as well as the glowing Consumer Report reviews of recent years, I am quite interested in the car.
For those forum members who have owned the C7 A6 (i.e 2012 - current) I would be interested in your feedback regarding the ownership experience, such as why you like the car, and any recalls or problems you have experienced with the car as well. And to be honest, prior horror stories I have heard about older Audis have been the main reason why I haven't purchased one, so thus my questions. Hopefully all of this is better now. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

I have a 2013 A6 3.0TFSI. I have driven the 535i extensively and that just made me love my A6 even more. I have not yet come across a 3.0 V6 engine that is silkier than the one in the A6. It is the perfect combination of power and comfort (I drove the S6 today and boy, that was one fast car. Too fast, according to me, for American roads for someone who sticks to speed limits).
The A6 just makes child's play of whatever you throw at it. Long drives, short drives, anything.
My car has done only less than 18k miles in the 3.5 yrs that it has been with me. There is one pending recall for my car (something regarding the ECU being tuned too strictly for emissions which causes it to go into limp mode in some cars? Forgot what it was but I've never experienced it) which I haven't gotten around to getting done since I read it wasn't important and could wait till the next service. No issues whatsoever *touchwood*
If the car is in good condition, you should get it. It also has a lot of mod potential, with APR having tunes for it along with the supercharger pulley upgrade which brings it close to stock S6 performance levels.
Even though the new A6 has 333bhp (compared to 310 in the older ones), I didn't notice any difference at all in terms of performance.
Negatives - Not many that I can think of. No apple carplay. No google maps in the DIS (it is available in the MMI screen though) in the older A6 (the newer ones have that because of a better graphics card for the DIS). Thats about it. Standard seats can be a bit uncomfortable (but better than BMW and Mercedes). That's about it for negatives (Yes. I was nitpicking, trying hard to find negatives)

There is a wealth of info in this forum. Best bet is to peruse the threads of interest to you. I can tell you I've had no significant issues with my 4.5 year old 50K mile 2013 A6 3.0T. Overall, it has been the best Audi I've owned and I plan on keeping it at least for a few more years. Try and find one that has been designated by the dealer as a CPO - it will give you a couple of more years of a decent warranty.

I have a 2013 A6 Premium Plus which I purchased new a little over 4 years ago. It has 51000 miles and has been 100% trouble free-- not even a brake job. I have replaced the tires once and had it serviced per the computer, and that's it. The car is fast, quiet, comfortable, handles great and gets astonishingly good gas mileage. The powertrain is exceptionally sweet. Things I would change: brake pedal feel could be better; upgrading navigation maps is a PITA and expensive (also upgrades seem to be obsolete by the time they are available). I owned a 2002 A6 2.7T before this, and it was a great car, too.

84,000 miles on mine and am planning on 250,000. (We'll see
I bought mine after I leased and drove a 2010 Prestige 3.0 for 3 years which I enjoyed as well.
Echo all the comments above. Only negative..I made the mistake if sitting in A8 seats at an auto show once...lol.
