Audi Space saver Spare tires
Was looking at Audi Spare Wheel /Tire Oem parts and saw this:

Does this mean the exact same spare is used regardless as to which size wheel/tire configuration you have on your vehicle, 17 - 20" ??

Interesting. It does look like the wheel itself is the same part for all. Perhaps the spare tire size varies for each to make the correct overall diameter?

If you lined up Audi OEM 17/18/19/21 inch wheels (with OEM tyres) as well as the space saver, you would see they are all the same height.
As the wheel size increases, so the tyre's sidewall profile decreases to maintain the same overall diameter.

Correct, all of the OEM tires have the same diameter.

All correct. Another way to look at it is the bigger the wheel, the less rubber side wall height to maintain the same overall wheel/tire combo circumference and diameter.

Thank you all. Yes, the spare tire cavity in the trunk is the same diameter for all sizes I guess isn't it.
When searching on ebay for a wheel/spare combo then, all that should be necessary is model/year or e.g., A6/C7 or A3/8V, all should work regardless.

On the eBay search, stick to the C7 spares (A/S/6 - A/S/7's). No sure about the A3 bolt diameter and offset. If you search for common items such as headlights, tail lights or calipers, you can find vendors that are parting out C7's. They might make a deal or list the spare. You can also check and haggle with local junk yards to save shipping costs.
