The small diamond shaped lights located under the LED healight strips are actually called "Static Cornering lights" and each will switch on automatically when the steering wheel is turned at a certain angle at speeds up to 44 mph or when the turn signal is activated at speeds up to about 25 mph. Both lights can also be turned on manually by pressing the upper button to the left side of the headlight selector switch on the dash.
The lights go out above about 90MPH but do not come on again for a few minutes even though you have reduced your speed to normal velocity. Interesting theory by the designers but I have no idea what its purpose is.

If you have MMI 3G+, the Google icon in the bottom right of the MMI turns white as a 'progress bar' to indicate whether the Google maps data is up to date or being retrieved from cache.

Not sure if this was mentioned...

The climate control fan speed which change from side to side, depending on which side of the vehicle is in the sun. If your passenger side is on the west in the afternoon, the fan speed in the passenger side will be higher than the drivers side! Do a U-Turn, and the drivers side fan speed will now be faster... You can check yourself by hitting the fan button when in auto and looking at the speed of each side.

I assume it has to with time of day, and heading of travel. Pretty cool!

ALSO, IF YOU HAVE THE REAR TRUCK OPEN YOU CAN CLOSE IT BY HOLDING THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON BY THE DRIVER DOOR FOR A FEW SECONDS. Granted being able to do so on the key fob is easily programmable but not a standard on North American Audi's atleast.

also, the trunk will close if already in the open position when the trunk release button is held for a few seconds. Still not the same as being able to use the key fob, but its better than nothing.

There is no power rear lid close capability in North America. Just the opening release.

Very true - I forgot the A7 folks participate in the A6 forum and missed that in the photo.

Default Fuel Gauge

Not really a gem. The fuel gauge has an arrow beside the fuel pump icon showing the direction of the fuel cap.

I didn't see this one yet, so forgive me if it is a duplicate... and I didn't see anything in my manual about this:

If you have Audi Connect, and insert a CD w/o CD Text information, the MMI system does a CDDB lookup on the disc to produce disc information & track names.
