That VCDS mod doesn't make it "smarter" or change the parameters of the sensitivity of the stop/start per the OP's question. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the mod can change the behavior to remember the last setting as a default - on or off.

As snagletooth said, it depends upon the year. My 15 stayed at the last setting, my 16 reverts to start-stop activated.

Just an FYI - 2016 MY S6 does remember last setting on the Start/Stop. My neighbors 2016 MY A7 does not.
