There are certainly strategies that can help you drive through standing water.

Best one is turning around.

I do get a laugh out of the driver that hits the water at full speed and hopes for the best. Usually they are stalled out in the center for sure.

Yeah. I was going 30MPH though didn't go full speed through it cause it would be much worse.

FWIW I've driven through deeper with open cone filter cars, however ... much slower. I'd bet you created a wave that took you out of commission.

Sorry to see it on such a nice car.

It did splash water. I was about to buy wheels for it.

A set of flotation devices and paddles might have been more appropriate.
Seriously, I hope you get your wish and they total it.

If they decide to fix it (hopefully not), the carpets would have to be removed, everything dried out and new carpet installed. Otherwise, eventually there will be mold and the accompanying smell.

Ohh ok. I think they'll have to look at the electrical in the center console. I see dried water spots. As of right now the car is sitting in my driveway for 5 days waiting for the adjuster.

Default Car took a dive :(

Update: July 6, 2015- called Audi and technician told me he had looked at it without taking it apart that I would need a new/used engine and I don't think they have looked at the inside.
