I recently bought the Carista module and downloaded the app. The main thing I really cared about was disabling the default on the start/stop on my 2016 A7. I was very pleased with how that worked, and the app was quite easy to use.

The app says I should be able to program it to allow the windows and sunroof to be opened and closed with the FOB. I have had this feature in cars and it's great in Houston for letting heat out of the car in the summer as I approach the car.

I have tried twice now to program it with no luck. First off, there are many settings in the app related to programming it. There are options for all the windows and sunroof, and there are options for just the sunroof, just the windows, just the drivers windows.... there are also duplicate options for a FOB, and for a smart FOB. I don't have the app in front of me, so this may not be exactly the wording on the options, but something like that.

Has anyone successfully set that feature up who can tell me what options you said "yes" and "no" to?

For anyone who just wants to kill the start/stop, I highly recommend it. The module is $40 and you get a month free on the app.

I made this mistake early on. Once you enable it in the app, then you have to enable it in the MMI menu.

Quick question. Just got Carista. You get 1 mo free, but have to buy the Pro subscription $39.99 service for year too?

You can decline the renewal. I got an e-mail with a link to either pay for the one year or cancel. I just cancelled mine and it tells me I will still have access until my one month anniversary.

Carista worked great for me. Stop/Start set at Remember last state, and light on when Stop/Start is active.

Update. Yesterday I found the settings in the MMS menu for putting the windows down with the FOB, but forgot to try it out when I get home. I'll try to remember today.

Update #2. Still does not work even though the boxes are checked on the MMI.i guess I'm going to have to contact Carissa.

I ordered mine just to see how easy it is... i am very familiar with VAG but I really don't use windows anymore so IOS puts a smile on my face

I believe I got my windows to work with FOB using Carista. I will check and see what I have set and let you know.
