Default Cheap source for rear "2.0T" and "quattro" badges?

My brother just picked up a CPO 2013 A6 2.0T quattro with 8,000 miles from Walter's Audi in Riverside, CA. Apparently the 2013 and later 2.0T models do not have a rear badge on the right side of the trunk. The dealer wants $100 for the 2.0T + quattro badges. Personally I would leave it alone, but not having the quattro badge in the back bothers him and just putting the small "quattro" badge would make it look odd, so it's either both or none. Are there aftermarket sources for this item that sell it cheaper than $100?

Why would you advertise that you bought the 4 cylinder? I'd certainly leave it off.

Or it was involved in a rear-end collision and the body shop left off the badges due to cost.

I have seen several A6's with the same semi-debadged look. I think they come this way from the factory.

Apparently the 3.0T models continue to have the "3.0T" and "quattro" badges on the right side but 2.0T's no longer come with them.

Audi puts the badges on all cars. Many of the owners will de-badge the car removing the 2.0 so that others will not know that they didn't buy the 3.0. Many will also remove the A6 so that people will not know that they didn't buy the S6.
They will lie and claim that it is for "clean look" but those same people would never de-badge an S or RS model.

Just get the replacement badges on ebay and put them back on.

Well said

And then you also have those who remove the 2.0 and put 3.0 on, or those who remove the A6 and put S6 on

Exactly.

I removed my A6 badge and replaced it with an RS7 badge.

Not to show off, just to mess with people's heads.

I find that hard to beleive. I mean really.. Remove the 2.0 badge so no one will know I just dropped $50k+ on a car.. Wow, how shameful. I would like to think that people are not as superficial to think that everyone behind them will pay that much attention to the badging to determine how much someone spent on their vehicle. Most non Audi drivers are probably clueless and if nothing else are seeing the whole package more than the badging.

Every compliment Ive gotten so far on my car has lacked any conversation pertaining to my "missing" 3.0 badge. Yes I have the 2.0 and I only recently realized the 2.0 was not on my 2014. For me, I decided to give up the 3.0 and instead add other options to my vehicle since I enjoy the other toys just as much. I will say though that anyone replacing the badges with "higher" ones is pretty lame. Thats just fraudulent. Oh well, differnet strokes I guess.

Quick Reply: Cheap source for rear "2.0T" and "quattro" badges?
