Chirp when locked/unlocked
Hi, new A6 S-Line Black Edition owner
Quick question, Is there any way to enable a audible lock/unlock tone
(UK owner, if it makes any difference)

To answer your question, the VAG-COM interface will enable a change to 2 chirps for unlock and one chirp for lock. Mine has one chirp for both but I do not know if the chirp on off is selectable, I'm sure that somebody with more VAG-COM knowledge than I will "chirp" in.

It is interesting that a UK owner wants a chirp. It is the only audible warning that is not insulting to the owner and is quite useful. Here in the US we have chirps and dongs and all kinds of noises to tell the driver that his lights are on, his door is open, his seat belt is not fastened etc.. I remember Jeremy Clarkson being annoyed/insulted by American manufacturers that assume that drivers are too stupid to operate a car.
