Thanks PJRed2008, those are some good ideas of things to tuck away inside there.

I put my radar detector & cell phone in there when ever I park my car.

Good idea. The lack of lockable storage is a PITA, as is putting the AMI in a non-lockable center console vs the glovebox. That was a stupid design change.

My C6 has these compartments too. I keep my sunglasses in the drivers seat compartment and a microfiber cloth for quick dusting on the other one.

Perfect storage for my Surefire flashlight and a container of gum. A microfiber rag is a great idea; I would think you would need a really tiny umbrella to fit in there, though now I am going to look for one. That would be awesome!

I have two collapsible umbrellas that I am pretty sure will fit, they're about 10" long.

Mine seem to be locked and un-openable. Am I missing something, or just a complete moron?

Yeah. I'm an idiot. I was trying to pull them out like drawers (as in my old C6) which is dumb as they simply flip forward to open! Sorry for the waste of bandwidth!

Any of those compact umbrellas fit just fine.

For future searchers, if you have thick floor mats, you have to raise the seat for clearance. The door opens at the top.
