My Blackvue has saved me a lot of trouble and money...probably to the tune of $10,000+ in repairs.

The past 2 years, I've (i) gotten my trunk dented by the garage, and (ii) got hit by a college student running through a stop sign in a Costco parking lot.

In both cases, the parties tried to deny liability. The videos helped a lot. According to the college student, he had borrowed his friend's car - and the student called his friend after the accident. When the insurance company called the friend, he told the insurance company that he wasn't aware of the driver borrowing the car. Oy...lucky that my airbag didn't deploy.

Here's a sampler...incident (ii). All sorted out now after I mailed the USB key with video to the insurance company, and car was professionally repaired at Prospect Auto (Bronx, NY), which is an Audi-authorized repair center.

Bottom line: one can't afford to not install the dash cam. Amortized over the duration of your car ownership, it's a no brainer.

Finally took the plunge and installed a Thinkware F770 last week, but I couldn't install the rear camera because of the rear sunshade. Anyone got any ideas on how to install a rear cam on the A/S 6 with the sunshade?

Crappy cellphone pic:

Other A6 people said they mounted the rear camera on the third brake light housing.

Luckily the compustar rear camera is able to be tucked in right at the top of the rear window so it just squeaks by the rear sunshade.

I have just ordered the Thinkware F770 minutes ago,
searching now for the fuses under the drivers side panel, I have couple empty sports there.
Mind you sharing some pics, especially interested for the fuse what is triggered by the engine start. thanks

I got power from the passenger side dashboard fuse box since I was mounting the camera of the passenger side there was room for the power magic pro box. The top row of fuses is always hot and had four openings. The bottom row is ignition circuits and also had four openings.

Uhm, what model you have there on the picture?
My 2017 A4 (canadian) is empty pocket on the right-passenger side, on the left-drivers side I have just only one row with couple slots empty. Nothing like your pictured.
