Is there a detour function on the 2014 nav? I just completed a two day, 1500 mile interstate journey and between construction zones and multiple vehicle pileups, I was forced to detour several times. Luckily, my co-pilot is very good with a road atlas or we would have been SOL.

Yes. Press the top right menu button (the four around the MMI controller) and you get options regarding route including the ability to detour for the next n miles. Of course if the road you are on has traffic info available and you have enable the alternative routes option it should do it automatically

Yes but it relies on government agencies to report activities so it becomes worthless. My car suggests that I drive miles out of my way because one lane of a freeway is closed but the other 3 lanes are open or if a freeway is completely closed then it will sometimes not even report that there is road work. The Audi Nav is fine but it is dependent on "real time" input of correct data or it becomes a coffee maker without water.

Audi connect gets you google maps and real time traffic.

Actually, at least for C7 MY2012-2015, traffic is not part of Audi Connect but is a separate subscription through Sirius (and free for 4 years MY2013+).

And note that you can subscribe to traffic only without music.
