Default Digital Speedometer

Just curious if others use the digital speedometer in the driver information display as much as I do? The 60 to 80 mph band is crammed into the 10 to 11 o'clock position on the regular speedometer and I find it's not easy to quickly glance at the instrument and check my speed. The 180 mph speedometer with 100 mph at the top is probably useful on the Autobahn but not many other places.

One word: HUD. Will never get a car without it. I never look at the speedometer in the DIS (mechanical or digital).

+1 Always use the Digital Speedometer, and always use it in the HUD.

In the same way that SCUBA is five words. Or maybe not - perhaps acronyms count as a single word after all.

Very rarely. Generally have the trip computer showing in the center cluster.

You know, I was going to edit my post and put "(maybe 3 words)" in there but that was too much effort .

HUD for me but when I can't see it with my polarized shades, I look at the digital speedometer on the cluster. No need for the analog version.

Very rarely. I prefer to keep mine on the lap timer. I dont have any problem with reading the needles. I had a loaner with the Hud for a weekend and I do like it as a feature, but i dont miss it. And i think the instrument cluster on the A6 with its big color display is beautiful. One of the car's best features among many great features.
