Default Extended Warranty OEM

What do you think of these prices for the Audi OEM Extended Warranty

Here’s all the basic info and quotes, and I’ve attached the brochure:

Vehicle: 2013 – 2017 Audi A6 with 10,000 miles or less.

Audi Pure Protection, Platinum coverage w/ $100 ded.
6 yr / 60K - $1912.00
6 yr / 85K - $2647.00
6 yr / 100K - $3220.00
6 yr / 120K - $3547.00
7 yr / 70K - $2447.00
7 yr / 100K - $3479.00
7 yr / 120K - $3774.00
8 yr / 100K - $3758.00
8 yr / 120K - $4088.00
10 yr / 100K - $3825.00

And with $0 deductible:
6 yr / 60K - $2245.00
6 yr / 85K - $3160.00
6 yr / 100K - $3826.00
6 yr / 120K - $4317.00
7 yr / 70K - $2729.00
7 yr / 100K - $4294.00
7 yr / 120K - $4693.00
8 yr / 100K - $4671.00
8 yr / 120K - $5099.00
10 yr / 100K - $4764.00

The Audi 5 year unlimited mileage deluxe road hazard wheel/tire plan would run
$876.00. (standard plan would be $588.00)
If it helps, I can also offer Audi Care. While we’re not allowed to discount that
plan, (Audi CARE runs $849.00 on the A6 (non TDI)) instead I’d extend an additional $25.00
courtesy discount off of the cost of the warranty if you’re purchasing both plans
together.

There are no OEM extended warranties or wheel coverages backed by Audi. Dealers sell them from various third party companies. Audi Care is, of course, a maintenance plan and not an extended warranty.

So, Fidelity, a 3rd party makes it look like its an OEM warranty direct from Audi. look at the brochure. It says they administer it for Audi.

I see no "administered for Audi" in the brochure, only that the the plan is ""administered by Fidelity" on the last page. Fidelity pays Audi for use of their logo and format for Audi dealers to use and dealers will honor the warranty. Otherwise, it's not an Audi factory warranty.

Also this on the second page:
"You can receive service from any authorized Audi dealership or a national network of over 6,000 authorized service centers, or any licensed repair facility in the U.S. or Canada."
That last should tip you off that it's not backed by Audi. Audi would never sanction or allow use of factory warranty to be used outside of the dealer network.

I have the Fidelity coverage with $0 deductible on top of my CPO. I've been able to pick and chose which one to use, since the CPO has a deductible. All of my service issues post factory warranty have been taken care of at the Audi dealership.

I think there was only one instance where Fidelity didn't cover something that the CPO covered.

Fidelity coverage does take a little longer since everything has to be pre-authorized. What's been nice is that there's never an issue with a loaner.

I only got it to give me an additional couple years beyond the CPO. I've always contemplated cancelling it, but I think I've gotten the value out of it with a few minor service requests, in addition to covering the CPO deductible.

There are some other benefits as well, such as brake pads as I mention in another post:

https://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/...t-Brochure.pdf

Sadly I have this and forgot I had it and paid for the pads out of pocket. Stupid me.
