How are you? It was a 4 hour job at the dealership at $114 an hour for the water pump and 5 hours for the thermostat because it's under the super charger. At my local foreign place they charge $90 an hour and have a warranty so I went with the latter. I hope this helps.

I have a audi a6 2.0t 2012 C7. It has problems with the engine warmup, it takes too long to warm up and when im on a downhill, the engine temperature starts to drop. The Audi dealership they have replaced the thermostat twice but the problem still persist! Also the ambient temperature don´t display the correct temperature, Does anyone have a solution?

I recently had a "cylinder head temperature sensor" replaced as it tripped the check engine light. Since then, my car is now taking forever to warm up, and my fuel mileage is way down. The sensor is under the supercharger so I can't just easily replace it again to see if it's a bad sensor.

In the Audi dealership, they connected to the computer and does not show any failure, the board does not show engine failure. Therefore they say that there is no failure in any sensor. I replaced twice the thermostat, I don´t know what else to could be causing the problems of the engine temperature.

g694 is the sensor I had recently replaced. If I am able to query that value, according to the PDF, it should rise very quickly at startup since coolant isn't circulating.

One thing people can try to improve slow warm up is to turn off climate control. When climate control is off, the engine coolant will warm up faster. When climate control is on and requesting heat, the fast warmup phase is bypassed and coolant is circulated immediately to provide heat to the cabin. I measured an extra 3 minutes to get the car up to temp with climate control on vs off.
