Fine Ash or Walnut Trim

Ash is beautiful. That being said, guys like it, girls dont. Its nearly a 99% swing like that for every customer and their gf or wife I deal with.

I'm a guy (well, an old guy) and I prefer the Walnut. Usually I prefer a matte surface (which the Ash is), but somehow with the places Audi uses it and the grain they use, it looks (to me) more fake than the Walnut, even though the Walnut is way shinier, which I usually equate with faker. The Ash looks to me like the wood grain film they used to put on toaster ovens back in the day. Just my 2 cents - I am not being critical of anyone else's decor/design sensibilities.

It is a very personal decision. When I bought mine, I was looking for ash, but found the combination I wanted at a great price and the only difference was Walnut. I took it. They both look great, and I have no regrets.
One thing I have wondered about is cleaning - with the relatively open grain on the ash, are there any cleaning considerations? On the flip side, I had the walnut in my A4, and it shows EVERY fingerprint. Ive been a bit OCD with the A6 so far, there are not any fingerprints on it :-)
