Hi, I recently ordered an A6 with fine grain ash wood trim (brown). There was some type of trim selection book at the dealership and I saw the fine grain ash wood trim in black along with some other options. Here's a pic I found on the web:

The dealer told me that fine grain ash wood trim in black wasn't an option for the A6. Only fine grain ash in brown and the standard burnished walnut. Is this true or is there some way to special order an A6 with fine grain ash in black? Or is fine grain ash in black only available on certain models like A8?

Any idea if there is any way to get an A6 retrofitted with fine grain ash in black?

Looks like a pair of undershorts to me. Definitely not an option for the A6.

This might be an option through the Audi Exclusive program. It may be expensive, though.

go to the Audi UK config webpage to see if its even available on the A6, they usually have all the options available for order, plus the configurator site is in english. You can almost assume its not available to us yanks, we don't get much in the way of options and finishes compared with RoW.

Don't think I have ever seen the black ash on any A6, but to give you an idea on how much its costs after the fact:

That is an A8, standard leather dash.

As I mentioned in the other thread, it's too bad auto manufacturers save their best luxury features for their biggest cars. I'd love an A6 with a leather dash.
