Foot operated trunk opener
#31
I finally got it to work with more or less 90% success rate by sweeping my right leg from the center to the right, starting from nearly touching the bumper and ending with the foot on the ground. You then have to give it a couple of seconds and the trunk will open up.
So again - start with your foot off the ground, almost touching the bumper and position it at the center between the muffler tips, sweep it to the right and out while lowering your foot. Keep the foot on the ground for a couple of seconds - trunk should pop open!

This. Exactly.

As far as I know all the models have it. Mine isn't a S6. Just try it in your garage so you don't look like a fool or an angry person taking anger out on your bumper.

As to how it works, 98%+ of the time I can just kick my foot in and out without hurrying and it will work. This is at the center and under the bumper by about 3-4". Car does not have to be locked for this to work but you do have to have the key fob with you.

2016 A6, only a premium plus and it works for me. Locked or unlocked, it works. Takes some getting used to but once you get it, it works everytime and like someone else said, it takes a second to work.
