That's what my letter says, also. But, if you look up the recall(24BZ), it says the under hood fuel pump which makes more sense, since the concern is a fuel hose deterioration in the under hood area. A recall on the recall letter??

Looks like there is a fuel filter on right side underbody, between tank and engine bay, "non water catching" which I would think is for gas cars. It is under both a body panel and a protective cover plate, small cylinder with hoses in and out each end.

Nice to know, but not really relevant to this topic, since "fuel filter" is not mentioned in recall notice to dealers, or letter to owners.

Just had my recall repair performed yesterday. It took all day. The following parts are listed on the repair order:

Performed 24BZ campaign
20662399 Replace suction pump
1 4GO-919-051-K DELIVERY
1 06E-127-513-F HOSE
1 1J0-919-133-B WASHER
1 N-909-865-01 CLIP
1 8R0-201-263-A CAP
2 4L0-886-373 GROMMET

No issues/gas smell after the repair. Had no issue prior to the repair. Call me crazy but the distance to empty miles displayed in the upper left of the speedo cluster seems to go down (reduce miles in 5 mi increments). I don't believe it ever did that before. It use to go down in larger mileage increments. No big deal. Fuel gauge and MPG are the normal.

Good luck to all who need this recall.

EDIT: After Googling some part numbers the top one appears to be a sending unit - so maybe I'm not nuts after all with my miles/DTE observation.
Also, it appeared they did some of the work via the back seat or removal thereof. I had some blankets and pillows on the rear seats only to find them on the rear floor when I picked up the car.

I have an appointment with the dealer on 12/23 to get a bunch of stuff done: the fuel pump/hose recall, the ECM recall, and 75K service. Interestingly, I just got a call from the dealer telling me that in order to the fuel pump recall, the car has to have less than 1/4 tank of gas in it. I have no problem with that, but you think Audi could have noted that in the letter somewhere.

I was not informed of that and went in with a full tank. Oh well, maybe that's why it took all day.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to co-ordinate fuel usage with my appointment date.

It took them a half day to burn your gas. Did you happen to note the in/out odo readings on the invoice?
