Gas pedal too light?
I recently switched out of my BMW 750 LI to a 2014 Audi a6. The very first thing that I noticed was that my right shin was starting to hurt because I feel like I'm having to lift off of the gas pedal. Is it me or is the Audi A6 gas pedal really really light? I find that if I relax my foot The weight of my foot slowly starts pushing the Gas pedal deeper and deeper. It is almost as if the gas pedal has no resistance.

I always thought that the BMW gas pedals were too heavy and parking was like wrestling an alligator.... I think it's a matter of personal preference which you prefer. I don't really rest my foot on the gas pedal as a form of cruise control.
Sounds like a great business opportunity for the Adaptive Accelerator Pedal package though!

Interesting responses. In my Mercedes, the gas pedal also has much more resistance. When I'm driving down the road I can dig into the desired speed and keep my foot there. On the Audi the pedal feels much much lighter. As I find my desired speed it takes active effort to keep the car from increasing velocity. I do have the automatic cruise control to keep a safe distance from the car in front of me...something I find myself using that much more. Must be the leadfoot I have...

One if the first things I noticed was the gas pedal as well. Not so much that it was to light but that when my heel was planted in position, my foot had to be bent back far when light cruising and that would cause fatigue on the shin. Sounds strange I know. But I drive a 14 ram for work and the pedal is low and in a more comfortable position, so I notice it every time I jump back in the a6.
Used to it now, doesn't bother me anymore.
Can't believe I spent this much time taking about my pedal angle. Now my thumbs are fatigued. Lol.
