Headlight "shudder"
I've had my 2012 Prestige for about 6 months and I've noticed that I can sense what seems to be like a shuddering effect at the edge of the light field when I hit bumps in the road. I've got the xenon lights, and it seems to be present on both sides. If I didn't know any better I'd think something was loose, but it hasn't seemed to have gotten any worse over the time I've noticed it...
Is this normal?

I am wondering if this could be what is going on and you’re just not yet used to the sharp light cutoff with Xenon’s. The fact that the condition you report isn't getting worse seems to suggest maybe I am on to something.

When driving over railroad tracks for example the drivers side light moves up and down like a loose bulb and the passenger side looks normal. It is a substantial difference from left to right. Doesn't happen on every bump, but if it happens on one set of tracks that set will always reproduce it.

It's not the cutoff line ahead of the car, it's really only noticeable on the sides, closest to the car. If I thought I could do it safely, I'd try to video it some night...
And it's definitely not the leveling system adjusting - it's way too fast.

It's the adaptive lights. Since the projector is mounted on a moving assembly it is affected by bumps. It was so annoying in my old car I knew not to get it next time around. Sorry.
