I'm guessing you didn't do a forum search - a definite must before you ask for help as someone may have already asked and received the answer.
Here's a thread from just last month:

All I've heard from people to remove the center console there's screws you take out from the rear AC vents but remove the vents first and then there's screws you need to remove and then more on the arm rest area. And more screws at the ash tray area. I've never done this before.

Just wanted to thank Jatmobil for the repair manual images, which allowed me to do the center console swap this weekend for the natural ash wood.
It is by far the most comprehensive guide I found, and surprisingly no How to seem to really exist for the C7.
I did my install in about 4-5 hours, taking my time to figure out how to take out the ashtray cover and unplugging the electrical connectors (not all are very obvious), even if I was defeated by the AMI cable, which no amount of budging could unplug.
In the end I had a small problem in that the gear lever (which has to be removed) button was stuck in, which meant that I was stuck in D. Two flat blades (radio tools) allowed me to get behind the button and pull it out, and install it correctly, but there are a few difficult steps in this console removal.

I just removed my console looking for airbag control module. I agree with rassi, some of the connectors are... well, I call it tricky. There are lots of screws to remove as well, but the guide was very VERY helpful. Thanks Jatmobil

This was hard to find! I have a question on the first picture right where the number "1" is. That black plastic piece surrounding the whole mmi insert. Does the shift boot have to come off or can that one piece be removed separately? I'm doing some partial 3m wrap and it would make it easier if I could get this piece off.
Thanks
